digitaltodd: HTC S640 Full review

Chad · 1 year agoare you syncing with bluetooth? that could be why it takes so long to sync

todd · 1 year agoHi Chad, I probably should have been more clear. The sync for the device data is not really an issue, that works well enough. Cable or no cable adding multimedia to the microSD card is painfully slow. It is faster to take the card out of the phone than hooking up the cable. It can take fully 20 mins to copy 2GBs to the phone through Windows Media Player.

ken · 1 year agohow did you get the Office Mobile to work - I have tried Microsoft and HTC tech support and neither knew how
-
digitatodd · 1 year agoi have not had any trouble getting it to work. there is a folder under the start menu that has excel, powerpoint and word. i select the one i want and then open the appropriate document. the mobile versions don't allow for document creation if that's what you are having trouble with, you have to have an existing document to open.

skyhook · 1 year agoThanks for the review. I'm looking into this phone as well, between the htc s640, bb 8330 and the moto q 9c. So far this ones the cheapest and it's the only one with wifi. (through telus)

digitatodd · 1 year agothe wifi was a big seller for me... but i rarely used it until skype started to work properly (mic didn't work until skype mobile 2.5). it's a decent device but windows mobile is still behind the blackberry and iphone interfaces.
